Booking Confirmation
Filling out the service request form does not guarantee a confirmed booking for the selected date and time. After receiving your submission, Spiffy Cleaning Services will reach out to you via phone, email, or text for confirmation.
Service Providers
Our providers are vetted and held accountable for their actions to ensure high standards of service and professionalism. You can rest assured that all providers demonstrate integrity and responsibility when providing services.
Right to Refuse Service
Spiffy Cleaning Services reserves the right to deny or terminate service due to safety concerns, inappropriate or uncomfortable situations, weapons on the premises, severe clutter, or disconnected utilities (electricity, heat, or water). Providers may also refuse service if the home is in an extremely unsanitary condition or if they feel unsafe. If this occurs, the cancellation policy will apply.
Cleaning Day Preparation
Your quoted price assumes the cleaners can focus solely on cleaning. To facilitate this, please tidy up surfaces like floors, countertops, and tables beforehand. If additional preparation is required, please inform us in advance, and your cleaning fee will be adjusted to accommodate the extra time.
Pets
While we are happy to work around pets, for efficiency and safety reasons, we ask that their activity be limited during cleaning. If a pet presents a safety risk or behaves aggressively, our providers may leave the site, and the cancellation policy will apply. Providers will not enter homes where they feel a pet poses a threat.
Service Fees
Quoted prices are based on standard conditions. If the scope of work changes due to the condition of the home, the provider will notify you of any price adjustments. If we cannot reach you to discuss these changes, the service will be canceled, and the cancellation fee will apply.
Payments
Payments are due upon completion of the service unless otherwise specified. Credit cards will not be charged until after the appointment is completed; however, a hold may be placed on your card 24 hours before the booking to ensure funds are available. Payments by e-transfer must be sent at least 24 hours before the booking to confirm the service.
Refund Policy
Refunds are not offered. However, if a service issue arises, contact us within 24 hours, and we will correct the problem at no additional cost.
Recurring Service Discount
Recurring discounts apply only after the first cleaning service. Skipping or reducing the frequency of cleanings may result in a price adjustment to reflect the lower service frequency.
Rate Increases
Spiffy Cleaning Services reserves the right to adjust rates due to changes in service frequency, living situations, or home conditions (e.g., renovations or significant furniture additions). Annual rate increases will not exceed 10% of the current rate.
Lockouts
The client must ensure the property is accessible on the scheduled service day. If the provider cannot access the home, every effort will be made to contact the client. If entry is not gained within 30 minutes, the appointment will be skipped, and the full service fee will be charged.
Cancellations
A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a service. Failure to provide sufficient notice, inability to access the home, or refusal of entry will result in a fee equal to the full service price. A $50 cancellation fee applies to changes made with less than 24 hours' notice.
Alarm Systems
If your home has an alarm system, please disarm it or provide instructions for use before the scheduled service. Failure to do so may result in a lockout charge.
Cleaning Supplies
We provide all cleaning supplies and equipment. If you require the use of specific cleaning products, please notify us in advance. We are not responsible for damage caused by client-provided supplies.
Items We Cannot Clean
We do not clean mold, hoarding situations, or areas contaminated with bodily fluids, animal waste, or hazardous materials. For safety and liability reasons, providers cannot climb higher than a step stool or move items heavier than 35 pounds. Please move such items before the service if cleaning behind them is required.
Breakage, Damage, and Loss Policy
Our providers exercise care when cleaning your home. However, we are not liable for damage due to normal wear and tear, improper installation, or undisclosed fragile items (e.g., artwork or collectibles). Please notify us of such items beforehand and provide care instructions if needed. Report any damage or loss within 24 hours for resolution.
Cleaners' Arrival Window
Appointments are scheduled within a two-hour window to account for traffic and unforeseen delays. If delays occur, we will notify you promptly.
Holidays
If your scheduled cleaning falls on a holiday, we will contact you to reschedule.
Non-Solicitation of Service Providers
By booking a service, you agree not to hire or solicit our providers for personal services outside of Spiffy Cleaning Services for one year following their engagement with you.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state or province where the service is provided, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Spiffy Cleaning Services reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on the website and will take immediate effect.
